He was 15′ away from me on the dogwood tree just outside my patio sliding door. I had one shot before I knew he’d take off. He looked right at me – - and voilà got it!
It’s been a few weeks since I posted – - launching a sister website, publicity and new projects have kept me busy. But this weekend I took time out for a river walk near my home in northern CT to check in on autumn. This year is not one of the stronger seasons, but nonetheless, it’s great to get outside and capture the change. The light, cloud formations and reflection that day were amazing. Enjoy!
In August we joined Denise Sobinski, of Denise Sobinski Interiors, on a road trip to capture her work on location in the northern CT and western MA. Here’s a sample of her signature pieces and design work. They are building a new website now that will feature these images and several others taken that same day. I’m so proud to share the first print publication of my work and in the International retail interiors market no less. The Cotto D’Este 2011 catalog features a 6-page spread of the Ilori Boutique photographed by yours truly in August of 2009. An amazing retail store design offering sunglesses priced from $50-$25,000. I thoroughly enjoyed the photo shoot project and send my appreciation to the Permasteelisa NA Group for the project, and to the Cotto D’Este company for featuring my work, including the photo credit.
A new client website went live today with our exclusive photography throughout. The project took about 3 months start to finish and was a complete refresh of an existing, outdated website. Tailoring the site with custom photography vs. purchasing stock images really provides a sense of what their firm is about and what they offer to their clients. Congratulations to our client, we’re thrilled to see the site go live!

The lines, repetition and composition all meet resulting in an image that I didn’t realize would come out of my camera.
